Kazakhstan, in its pursuit to enhance its tourism sector and elevate its appeal to global travelers, has witnessed an impressive upsurge of $860 million in investments during 2023. This remarkable figure reflects a 44% increase from the corresponding period in the preceding year.
The Minister of Tourism and Sports, Yermek Marzhikpayev, has unveiled remarkable statistics, with over three million Kazakh citizens embarking on domestic journeys within the country during the initial half of the year. This represents a notable growth of 400,000 travelers compared to the previous year. Furthermore, the nation aspires to entice nine million domestic tourists and an additional 1.4 million foreign tourists by the close of 2023.
Nigerian Travelers Granted Visa-Free Entry to Kazakhstan
In a concerted effort to stimulate international tourism, Kazakhstan has introduced a noteworthy development, granting Nigerians the privilege of visa-free entry for short stays, primarily for tourism. However, it is essential to note that Nigerian travelers must secure an electronic travel authorization (eTA or eVisa) before arriving in Kazakhstan.
The eTA process is streamlined and user-friendly, requiring just a few minutes for completion. Nigerians can conveniently apply for their eTA through the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan. This enhancement not only simplifies travel logistics but also strengthens the mutual commitment to fostering cultural exchange and promoting tourism.
Kazakhstan, a diverse and expansive nation situated in Central Asia, beckons with a rich tapestry of attractions, encompassing breathtaking landscapes and vibrant urban centers.
